The EFFC Health and Safety Award winners for 2024 were announced at the EFFC AGM which took place in Rome in Early October.

There were two awards:

• Safety Innovations
  For companies that have set new safety standards or introduced new safety innovations.
• Health and Wellbeing Programme Award
  For company initiatives or interventions that improve the health and wellbeing of site teams.

The winners for the best Safety Innovations were:

• Gold Winner:
  BKJV – DWALL / Slurry wall trench protection systems and sampling platform
• Silver Winner:
  Voorbij Funderingstechniek – Sheet pile scraper
• Bronze Winner:
  Keller UK – blowing out cannon designed in conjunction with Premier Pipelines

The gold winner was decided as the sensor on the platform used within the innovation was something the judges had not seen before.

The winners for the best Health and Wellbeing programme were:

• Gold Winner:
  TREVI SPA – Take Care of your Heart
• Silver Winner:
  Keller UK – Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme

The gold winner was decided as the judges liked that they had taken a targeted approach to one of the high risk groups of people within their workforce.

The winners and commended entries are being invited to present at the EFFC-DFI Conference in Bruges to set out their approach.
