EFFC President, Andreas Körbler, features in the latest podcast from the Federation of Piling Specialists.

In an interview conducted by FPS Chair, Steve Hadley, Andreas discusses what it takes to get to the top in Ground Engineering, as well as his role and work as the current President of the EFFC. He also discusses some of the current initiatives that the EFFC has planned for the next few years and speaks about the recent impact of COVID-19 and how the situation has been approached, at government level, across different countries.

There is also a discussion on how the lack of consistency and rapidity of change from country to country has been a problem for EFFC members to adapt to.

Issues such as working platform safety are discussed in detail and also the championing of the EFFC/DFI Carbon Calculator; its use, origins and how it can act as a catalyst to take piling companies into the future – “a route to carbon zero”.
